NYAB Finland is delivering two solar park projects for Rabbalshede Kraft in Lappajärvi and Suonenjoki, Finland. A 36.58 MWp solar park is being built in Lamminneva, Lappajärvi, and a 71.56 MWp solar park in Isoneva, Suonenjoki. The projects are executed as EPC contracts and also include the construction of grid connection substations.
The solar parks are expected to generate a combined annual output of approximately 98 GWh, corresponding to the annual electricity consumption of around 9,800 households. In addition, the projects are estimated to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 7,500 tonnes per year.
Construction has progressed according to plan and on schedule in close cooperation with the client. The planned commissioning of the solar parks will take place during 2027.
“We have had the opportunity to deliver two significant and interesting solar park projects together with Rabbalshede Kraft. Former peat production areas bring their own challenges, but through strong cooperation with the client, our skilled personnel and subcontractors, the projects have progressed well,” says Seppo Nuorala, Site Manager at NYAB Finland.
“Rabbalshede Kraft has been very satisfied with NYAB’s deliveries in the Isoneva and Lamminneva solar park projects,” says Daniel Panelius, Construction Project Manager at Rabbalshede Kraft.
Once completed, the projects will support the growth of renewable energy production in Finland while giving former peat production areas a new purpose.
