NYAB to deliver the Tuovila–Laajametsä 110 kV power line project for EPV Alueverkko
10.08.26NYAB will deliver the Tuovila–Laajametsä 2×110 kV power line project for EPV Alueverkko Oy in the municipality of Korsholm and the city of Vaasa. The project includes approximately 3.7 kilometres of new double-circuit 110 kV overhead line on a new transmission corridor.
A total of 18 transmission towers will be constructed as part of the project, including two guyed towers and 16 self-supporting towers. The scope of work also includes conductor installation between the Tuovila substation and the new power line, as well as the dismantling of existing structures and recycling of materials. The new transmission connection will strengthen the capacity of the regional electricity network and support reliable power transmission to meet growing energy demand.
“This transmission connection plays a key role in ensuring a reliable electricity supply for the GigaVaasa area. We are very pleased to continue our strong collaboration with NYAB in delivering this important project,” says Jukka Paavola, CEO of EPV Alueverkko Oy.
“The Tuovila–Laajametsä project is a natural continuation of our cooperation with EPV Alueverkko alongside the ongoing Brändskogen–Rajavuori 110 kV power line project. We are delighted by the trust placed in us and the opportunity to further strengthen the region’s electricity network capacity and operational reliability together to meet future needs,” says Tapio Marttila, Construction Manager, Power Line Business, NYAB Finland.
