Aurora Line

Yara Siilinjärvi factories

NYAB is supplying three buildings for Yara's project initiated in 2022: a sulfur storage facility, the melting plant building, and its electrical control room.

EASA-widening Arlanda Airport

Swedavia operates ten airports in Sweden, of which Arlanda Airport, just outside Stockholm, is the largest and busiest. In May 2023, NYAB Mälardalen was commissioned by Swedavia to widen the taxiways for the main runway at Arlanda, runway 1.

Karahka wind farm 

Oulainen, a municipality in Finland’s North Ostrobothnia region, is set to become home to a large-scale wind farm with 25 wind turbines, with an output of at least 150 megawatts.

E10 Highway in Kiruna

In 2017, NYAB was assigned by the Swedish Transport Administration to begin construction work on the new national highway E10 in Kiruna. The project was part of the ongoing urban transformation, as the former road was within the mine's risk zone.

Gammelstad combi terminal and new railway tracs

In the main, the object is covered by demolition of existing structures, land, track, electricity/lighting, cable laying, new construction of track, construction of loading dock, substructure/superstructure and paving of terminal surfaces for heavy traffic.

The Haparanda train track, platforms in Kalix & Haparanda

In 2020, NYAB was assigned by the Swedish Transport Administration to carry out reparation work at the train station platforms and tracks in Haparandra and Kalix.

Lindbäcks super factory

In 2015, NYAB was assigned to, in collaboration with Lindbäcks, do the groundwork for their new super factory at Haraholmen in Piteå. When completed, the factory became one of the world's most modern factories for industrial wood construction.

Teräväniemi wastewater treatment plant

Relocation of cultural buildings

In the communities of Malmberget, Gällivare and Koskullskulle, a large project is currently underway with the social transformation of the three urban areas. In total, around 2,000 homes and 250,000 square meters of living and premises will be moved or replaced.

Wind farm in Pajuperänkangas

NYAB builds wind farm for ABO Wind in Pajuperänkangas in Haapajärvi. The contract includes wind farm roads, lifting areas, foundations, and electrical cabling work in the park area. Construction work began in July 2022 and finishing work will be completed in the spring 2023.

Lumivaara wind farm

NYAB is building the Lumivaara Wind Farm in the municipality of Hyrynsalmi in Kainuu. Eight German Nordex N163 5.7 MW wind turbines will be installed in the area, which will start producing electricity for the national grid in autumn 2023.

NYAB is involved in the development of the largest neighbourhood to be built in Northern Finland in the next few decades, Hiukkavaara in Oulu.

Jokikylä bridge in Oulu

During the project, a completely new bridge over the River Kiiminkijoki will be built to replace the existing bridge located on the connecting road Mt 8460. Before that, a detour bridge will be built and the old bridge will be demolished to make way for the new one.

Sitema to design Herva-Nuojuankangas power line

Sitema Oy has been selected as the general design consultant for Fingrid's 400kV Herva-Nuojuankangas power line. The power line is located in Northern Ostrobothnia. The project has started, and the general design is estimated to be completed by early 2024.

NYAB is building pumping stations of Tampere region’s new central wastewater treatment plant

NYAB started in June 2022 building of two pumping stations that serve the entirety of the Tampere region and many of its neighbouring municipalities.

NYAB is building a power distribution station of Fingrid’s substation in Oulu

The service security of the City of Oulu’s electricity supply will improve when Fingrid replaces the Leväsuo substation. The station is an important part of the area’s electricity transmission network.

Kaukanen wind park in Kannus

Nenäinniemi sewage treatment plant

The Nenäinniemi sewage treatment plant in Jyväskylä plays a major role for the entire region. The treatment plant treats sewage from approximately 160,000 residents, almost 60 per cent of the population of Central Finland.
