NYAB wins new railway switch project in Hallsberg
22.10.25NYAB has been awarded a contract by the Swedish Transport Administration for two new switch connections in Hallsberg. The project, valued at approximately SEK 41.5 million, places high demands on precision, safety, and quality.

The new track connections aim to strengthen the capacity and redundancy of the railway system. In this area — one of the most critical railway hubs in the country — the project will improve traffic flexibility.
The project includes:
- New track connection (switch connection) between track 3 and 104, as well as a new track connection Sannahed
- A total of four railway switches
- BEST works (track, electricity, signalling, and telecommunications)
- A new dwarf signal on track 2 in the western part of Hallsberg
- Work on both the Western Main Line and the freight track
The contract work is scheduled to be completed by September 2026.
