“Contributing to developing and shaping the sustainable society of the future is what drives me. Our entire industry is facing major and necessary changes, and it is exciting with all the opportunities we now have to do things in new ways. It is time to question old truths and habits. Our industry has a crucial role in reducing the climate footprint, for example through energy efficiency, circularity, and sustainable material choices. Additionally, we have a great social responsibility, in everything from health and safety at workplaces to the design of the environments we build for future generations.”

Sustainable value creation on the agenda

“I truly welcome the increased demands now coming in the sustainability area, both from our customers, investors, and the new regulations. It provides the transparency and clarity necessary to drive an effective and value-creating transition. In my role as Head of Sustainability at NYAB, my vision is that we will create long-term values for our customers, society, and the planet, not least through sustainable infrastructure and renewable energy. In this way, we are an enabler for the green transition, and I hope we can inspire others to do the same. The NYAB culture is permeated by collaboration, and I feel that collaboration between different actors is exactly what is needed for us to leave a better world for future generations.”

Well-being and the environment go hand in hand

“The interest in environmental issues and how closely it is connected to people’s well-being has always fascinated me. During my 20 years in the sustainability field, I have seen a fantastic development and an increased awareness of our responsibility for the environment and society. At the beginning of my career, sustainability was a concept that was relatively unknown to many. Today, on the other hand, it is a given in most decisions and processes. What a development!”
