Construction of transmission lines

Transmission lines are the backbone of power transmission systems and their most visible part, and Skarta has the expertise needed to implement transmission line construction projects. Skarta’s employees have long experience in the development and planning of transmission lines as well as project management and execution.

On the national level, Skarta plays an important role in the construction of transmission lines and the construction of clean energy. Skarta develops, plans and executes clean energy – solar and wind power stations and, in the future, hydrogen-based solutions – especially in northern Finland, where it makes the most sense to build these. The demand for energy, however, is the highest in southern Finland, which means that Skarta’s operations in the reinforcement of the national power grid are of vital importance, since this allows the transmission of clean energy from the north to the south.
